Tic-Tac-Toe in the Dark!
Grab a partner. We’re going to model what it is like to be blind or have a vision disorder. There are large tic-tac-toe boards with X's, and O's on each table. Before we begin, decide who is going to be X and who is going to be O. Now try to play tic-tac-toe by feeling where the board is and where you and your partner put the x’s and o’s. Try to play at least three games and then answer the following questions on a piece of paper:
1. Was it hard playing the game without your sight?
2. Did you place your pieces in the correct spots?
3. How did you know where to place your pieces?
4. Which sense (sound, smell, touch, or taste) did you use to help place your pieces?
